I found myself thinking about the amazing things we all get to do in our lives. I think it's important to remember that not everybody is as fortunate. I was watching the Movie "Straight Outta Compton" recently, and I thought to myself why so many people seem to find athletic or musical success when coming from neighborhoods like that. Then I remember when I told my mom I wanted to be a singer, and my brother said he wanted to play in the NBA. The first thing she asked us was "What is your backup plan?" The people coming out of these struggles don't have a backup plan. They literally won't have anything they want if they don't achieve their dream. I'm not saying we should live our lives without a backup plan, but I definitely think it would be good for all of us to focus a bit more of our energy on living our dreams.
